The Bangalore Tamil Sangam was started in the year 1950 by seven enthusiasts. The Sangam conducts various programmes to promote the Tamil Culture. The Sangam is known for its charitable work for the poor and economically backward section of our society by running a high school with Tamil as medium of instruction under the name of great National leader Shri.K.KAMARAJ. This is a school committed towards providing quality education for the below BPL family children. The School is functioning in our own land located at Venkatesapuram ( Kadugondanahalli ).

The Bangalore Tamil Sangha Kamarajar High School has completed its 28 successful years since its inception in the year 1985. Education in our school is not just impairing of information alone, but it extends to the formation of self, and the transformation of society. It strives best to strike an equitable balance between academic excellence and zeal for extracurricular activities and thus tries to mould the students to face the changing and challenging world of the 21st century.

Today in many places, education is seen as a preparation for the future, and the students are seen as passive recipients. We differ from this conventional understanding of education. To us, students are active partners in this shared enterprise. We believe in student centered learning, where each individual is unique and valuable in his wholeness. Our effort is to provide an education where a student is able to retain his uniqueness.

The Bangalore Tamil Sangam extend various helps to the children by providing free education, free note books, school uniforms, shoes, school bags, writing materials etc. We conduct periodic health checkup camps for the students and by extending financial helps. The finance for these benevolent acts is met through the public contribution.

The Bangalore Tamil Sangha Kamarajar high school have an excellent staff with the same vision and goals of the institution. For them education is not a commercial activity. It is a mission. Our mission is to build up a group of young men and women who would be agents for change in society and work towards equality and justice. They are guiding and leading the students in the right path.

To enable the students to do personal work, a well equipped library is available is available in the school. Students are encouraged to refer to original and standard works. The college has excellent laboratories for science courses. There is also a computer lab available in the school.
